Using social media is a great way to start. How do you do that? We would like to explain that to you in this article based on four handy tips! There you are as a municipality, ministry or other government organization with your good behavior. You are active on social media, you are where your resident is, you interact and monitor what is going on. Step by step you get closer to your target group and you achieve the first successes. And then there was the word. First there is still room for solidarity we will tackle this together. Then restlessness follows ('how long will this take?') and then degenerates into mistrust ('do they actually know what they are doing?'). Final score: public confidence in the government has once again been badly damaged. This is shown by research by three universities and several municipalities. Regaining the trust We can scratch our heads, wondering how this is possible and where this distrust comes from. But as (online) communication professionals we are practical and solution-oriented, we prefer to focus on a solution. Regain trust, prove ourselves and fight for our goal: to reduce the distance between government and society bit by bit. Social media is not the ultimate solution, but it is certainly the start of a solution. How do you handle that? We give you four tips for free! 1. Not words, but deeds Saying you're there for your resident is very noble and might be obvious if you're a local driver. It is more powerful if you just show this.
